However, many cases are still identified late. Recognising early signs and starting timely intervention can significantly improve developmental outcomes and quality of life.”
Early Signs to Watch For:
• Delayed speech or limited verbal communication
• Less eye contact or response to name
• Limited interest in social interaction or play
• Repetitive behaviors such as hand flapping or lining up objects
• Strong preference for routines; difficulty with changes
